Danielle Smith, F.N.P.

Danielle Smith, FNP, is a Family Nurse Practitioner at Gateway Gastroenterology, a gastroenterology and hepatology practice in Chesterfield, Missouri. She is committed to providing the highest level of care and support to patients living in and around St. Louis County. Danielle received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Avila University in Kansas City, MO where she played soccer for four years. She went on to receive her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) at Maryville University in Saint Louis and became board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners in 2015.

In her professional career, Danielle has five years of experience as a registered nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at St. Louis Children's Hospital, and following her Nurse Practitioner designation she worked seven years as a convenient care provider with Minute Clinic in and around the St. Louis area.

Danielle is an avid and experienced marathon runner, competing in over twenty half marathons and five full marathons under her runner bib, with her personal best coming in the 2018 NYC marathon. When she is not on the trail, she spends her time making memories with her husband, Chris, their two young daughters, Amelia and Addie Kate, as well as decorating the house for each and every season of the year.
