Greetings:
I am writing this to let my patients know that effective April 1, 2020 I plan to transition to an administrative role at Gateway Gastroenterology. What this means is that I will no longer be available to continue my clinical practice caring for patients on a day to day basis.
In posting this, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the privilege of participating in your healthcare over the past 31 years. There are simply no words to adequately express how much this has meant to me. Aside from my family, there is nothing that has given me greater satisfaction than working with you as a physician. My decision regarding this transition is based simply on the inevitable passage of time and the changes that come along with it.
In the future, it is my sincere hope that you will stay with the practice and establish with one of my partners as we have many talented physicians available to work with you.
Of note, we recently hired two additional gastroenterologists. Dr. Jon Seccombe, started with the group April 1, 2018 and is currently available for appointments. In addition, Dr. Rajeev Ramgopal will start his work with the group August 1, 2020.
Dr. Seccombe attended Emory University for medical school, Washington University in St Louis for Internal Medicine Residency, and the Medical University of South Carolina for Gastroenterology Fellowship. He is Board Certified in Gastroenterology.
Dr. Ramgopal attended Oklahoma University for medical school and Washington University in St Louis for both his Internal Medicine Residency and Gastroenterology Fellowship. While there he served as Chief Medical Resident. He is Board Certified in Gastroenterology.
Looking forward, I remain committed to you and will work with our staff to make this transition go smoothly.
Best wishes to all,
David D Benage, MD
